Red wine is a beverage kept in oak barrels, the oak, giving the wine a great force, changing its taste, colour and aroma. After preparation, the barrel is emptied but the taste and smell of the wine remains in the wood.
These barrels are turned into chips. The power and strength of the wine infused oak wood, are and ideal complement to grilling or gas ovens.
Red wine, enhances food flavours, by providing moisture, colour and flavour to a high standard.
How to Use:
Before cooking, soak your wood chips in water for about 30-60 minutes.
Charcoal Barbecues: Add a handful of pre-soaked chips onto your hot charcoal, spread it around to get an even smoke. The more chips – the more smoke!
